The Conflict Management course is for individuals who are employed in dealing with the public and require the extra practical skill for their own personal preservation and security.
This unique course provides the client to deal with reality based solutions regarding personal protection and self preservation in a potential hostile environment addressing while dealing with the public in extraordinary circumstances that may arise, such as appropriate behaviour in being assaulted by verbal abuse and being physically threatened.
We offer a comprehensive training package which can be broken down into modules and fine tuned to address the individual specific requirements.
Course Purpose
This course is directed at the any member dealing with the public. The primary aim of the course is to give the client the knowledge and confidence in his ability to handle a situation whether it be confrontational or not. Understanding of the use of force continuum, verbalisation skills and de-escalation of a situation is given paramount importance. Should a situation escalate, emphasis will be placed on developing simple skills for dealing with a situation where a confrontational person attempts to assault a client. Techniques are utilised that provide the client with effective skills to control the situation without either party being injured.
This course is designed for personal private tuition or group classes and aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to assess, avoid and protect themselves against a potential hostile situation.
The course also deals with stress management, leadership and awareness of the environment around oneself. It incorporates specialized training methods to not only challenge students physically, but to also instil into the client a special mental discipline meant to strengthen the spirit and to develop the ability to deal with violent confrontations under high levels of stress.
