This course aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to assess , avoid and or protect themselves against a potential hostile situation. Defensive Environmental Awareness is the understanding of your own capabilities in a self-defence crisis.
In a violent or potentially violent situation the ability to “mentally keep it all together” and make rational decisions is paramount in your safety.
This psychological approach to handling a potential hostile situation is taught in the first part of the course.
The second part is the realistic defence techniques taught that are custom made for the individuals own ability.
The final part of the course is putting it all together emphasising:

This course aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to assess, avoid and or protect themselves against a potential hostile situation. Environmental Defence awareness is a psychology of individuals understanding their own capabilities in a self -defence crisis.
The psychological approach to correct mental attitude is the first half, the second half is the realistic non-lethal defence techniques taught.
This unique training has already been accepted within many corporations emphasising on concentration, self respect, self esteem, motivation, discipline, focus, stress management, confidence, alertness and leadership whilst building Esprit De Corps.
Duration
12 hours divided into 3 x 4 hour modules or to individual requirements.
Pre-requisites
Comfortable clothing for training. No jewellery or loose accessories. Personal protective equipment e.g. bag mitts, mouth guard (both optional).

Identification of threatening situation.
Prevention and avoidance of potentially hostile situations.
Justification of striking in self-defence.
Where to strike and how.
Tools and Targets.
Direct application of simple techniques that may be required in acts of self-defence.
Escalation of self- confidence and personal awareness levels.
