His unique ability, style and hard earned combative experience and reputation over the past four decades has encouraged him to consultant and conduct seminars and courses in his Hand to Hand (H2H) rapid decentralised reality based training.

Program Purpose:

These programs aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to assess, avoid and/or protect themselves against a potential hostile situation. With the introduction of the Special Forces, during WWII a need for hand to hand combat were required. These techniques were utilised from many Martial Arts styles e.g. Tai Kwon Do, Karate, Judo. Jujitsu, and Akido combining what is now known as UNARMED COMBAT".

Hand to Hand Combat is sometimes regarded solely as a means of defence when fighting at close quarters. This belief is incorrect. The maxim that "attack is often the best means of defence" is definitely applicable to H2H as the advantage usually lies with them the attacker. Training in H2H is aimed at instilling into the individual the idea that, even if she/he has been disarmed the fight is still not over, and a hopeless unarmed, defensive situation can be changed into an aggressive, attacking position with a good chance of success. For what ever reason you were originally attracted to H2H you will discover training a dimensional experience, and as time goes by, you will become familiar with each of its facets.

Hand to Hand (H2H) consists of twelve training stages comprising of courses or programs. H2H has a long history where size does not matter. A person who takes on H2H soon learns to be aggressive in a controlled way, acquiring self confidence and self-reliance.

Rob Gear's H2H Combat programs are designed for each individual and ranges from a four hour seminar up to 14 day hard core program.

To be the best you must train with the best.
